Jennifer Maher is Unit Manager for Dental Theatres at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and former Education Lead for The Association for Perioperative Practice (AfPP). Jennifer is an Operating Department Practitioner with more than 27 years of experience across adult and paediatric perioperative services in Liverpool. Prior to her current role, she held leadership positions in education, quality improvement and workforce development, including Clinical Manager for Quality Improvement at Alder Hey Children's Hospital. Jennifer is passionate about patient safety, human factors, team culture and developing healthcare professionals to deliver the highest standards of perioperative care.

Lindsay Keeley RN, BSc (Hons) is the Clinical Patient Safety and Quality Lead for the Associa-tion for Perioperative Practice (AfPP), where she plays a strategic role in advancing periopera-tive safety, quality, and professional standards across the UK. She supports perioperative prac-titioners through AfPP’s Professional Advice Service, providing expert, evidence informed guidance on complex clinical and professional issues. A Registered Nurse with extensive experience across NHS and Independent surgical settings, Lindsay is widely recognised for her expertise in infection prevention, surgical fire safety, surgi-cal plume, and system based approaches to reducing harm. She works nationally with NHS England and partners to co produce patient safety tools, including the HSJ Bronze award winning Skin Preparation Decision Tool. A published author and experienced keynote speaker, Lindsay is passionate about unlocking the potential of the perioperative workforce.

Professor Ian Peate is a prominent figure in the fields of nursing and health care. He is the Editor-in-Chief for British Journal of Nursing; founding Consultant Editor for Journal of Paramedic Practice and Consultant Editor for International Journal for Advancing Practice. He was the Consultant Editor Journal of Operating Department Practitioners. Ian is a respected nurse academic, author and editor with extensive experience in education and practice. He has authored and edited numerous textbooks and articles on nursing and health care, contributing significantly to the literature. His career has spanned various roles, including clinical nursing, nurse education and leadership positions. Ian is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Nursing and was awarded an OBE for his services to Nursing and Nurse Education.

Passionate about VTE prevention and supported hospitals to achieve exemplar award in VTE prevention. Passionate about charity work, supporting a hospital in India in a poor village in Western Maharashtra. Love travelling, walking and reading.
